Medicinal Plant Garden

The Department has a well-established herbal garden consisting of rare medicinal herbs & plants collected from various parts of India. In total, we have around 150 species of plants. The garden has been framed keeping in view the biodiversity of flora and authenticated traditional herbs mentioned in Pharmacy & Ayurveda which serves a very good purpose for the museum of medicinal plants. In view of popularizing and propagating our ancient traditional science i.e. Ayurveda, the herbal garden not only serves as a good demonstration garden for student training but also for purposes of researching medicinal plants and educating the use of local medicinal and aromatic plants to the pharmacy profession.
